Deep golden colour. Spicy nose, creamy depth and complexity. Rather beautiful, in fact! Apricots, jasmine, saffron and kumquat. It feels more full-bodied and weighty and sumptuous than its 13% alcohol would have led me to believe. Mango and saffron. Effulgent richness, and although it feels bone dry on the finish, there is mid-palate sweetness that could almost convince me of a couple of grams of residual sugar.

At the beginning, a fine note of elderberry lures in the nose. Then a hint of white pepper mixes in. Freshly raised, the wine leaves an aroma of unripe melon in combination with the crisp acidity of green apple. In the shade of green and light yellow, it is wonderfully refreshing.

In the second round, with development through a little oxygen, the wine gains new facets. Elderberry and the breeze of pepper remain. Now, however, white peach mixes into the bouquet. Grapefruit also complements the taste profile. In addition to the freshness of grapefruit, numerous herbs that are reminiscent of essential oils unfold as companions. The excellent acid structure reinforces the multi-layered complexity on the palate. This structure is also retained in the outlet. Its taste is a reminder of the feeling when the first sunny day of spring knocks on the door after a long, cold winter.
