Viking Queen Prestige Cuvée 2018

A white wine that perfectly matches Wagyu beef? It's Viking Queen. As surreal as Neverland in Rheinhessen and yet exactly as it should be. This cuvée prestige delivers and elevates Wagyu to a new level of enjoyment.

Hedonistic pleasure made in heaven, but just as subtle and multi-faceted as chef and organic Wagyu cattle breeder Ludwig 'Lucki' Maurer of STOI fame, for whom this wine was made. Lucki gave us the impulse and input for the cuvée. The rest is history.

Grape variety: Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Silvaner, Bacchus * Soil type: limestone, chalk, lime marl * Harvest: 100% selective hand harvest * Initial weight: 90 to 102 Oechsle degrees * Fermentation time: 3 to 9 weeks * 100% spontaneous fermentation with its own yeast * Alcohol: 13.5% * Contains sulphites * Bottled by: Neverland eK, Sebastian Class, Ausserhalb 2 , 55578 Vendersheim, Germany * Winemaking: reductive and oxidative expansion, no wine treatment agents * 225L barrique barrels made of French and US oak were used for the oxidative part in the cuvée prestige. * Certified organic according to DE-ÖKO-039. * Vintages depicted in the pictures may deviate from the product sold.
